CELEBRATING COMMUNITY,
STRENGTHENING DEMOCRACY
June was a busy and rewarding month for League volunteers as we staffed booths at both the Juneteenth Celebration and Green Bay Pride.
We had the pleasure of connecting with hundreds of community members who stopped by to learn more about voting, get reminders about the upcoming primary and general elections (August 11 and November 3) and pick up some fun League swag. The temporary tatooes were a huge hit!
Across both events, we heard some common themes: people recognize the importance of voting, share concerns about the future of our democracy, and value the League of Women Voters as a trusted, nonpartisan source of voting information. Agree. Agree. And Thank you.

The League of Women Voters (LWV) was founded on the belief that We, the People, have the power to create a more perfect democracy.
What began in 1920 as a movement to help 20 million newly enfranchised women cast their first votes has grown into a unique, nonpartisan organization dedicated to shaping public policy, holding leaders accountable, and empowering informed participation at every level of government.
For over 100 years, the League has worked to improve our government and ensure all Americans have a voice in the decisions that impact their lives. With more than 800 local and state Leagues across all 50 states, D.C., and the Virgin Islands, we are a grassroots network that educates, advocates, and mobilizes communities.
We never support or oppose political parties or candidates—but we are deeply political. Our mission remains clear: expand participation, protect voting rights, and make democracy work. For everyone.
